General Manager – Durham
The Role:
As our General Manager, you will take full ownership of the site’s performance – leading the team to hit and exceed budget, delivering outstanding quality, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will combine commercial awareness with people-focused leadership to grow the business and achieve high customer satisfaction levels, keeping your site team members engaged and motivated.
Experience of a management role within the accident repair industry is paramount to the success of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive site performance to meet and exceed financial targets.
- Lead, inspire, and develop the team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Manage recruitment and retention to ensure consistent staffing levels.
- Oversee workflow, quality control, and operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with customers, insurers, and suppliers.
- Hold an understanding of P+L accounts
About You:
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop General Manager or in a similar automotive leadership role.
- Strong commercial and operational management skills.
- Excellent people management abilities – from recruitment to ongoing development.
- A track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and quality work.
- Ideally hold a current industry standard qualification as a VDA.
